General News-y Stuff and Things

So, this website isn't being read, I've noticed. It's time for change. Where's the 24 Twitter followers who pledged their allegiances? I'm looking at you, Tanya. So please, for the love of Jeebus, please read our site and comment.

Now, the first episode of the SSA Gamecast. I'm sure all of you have noticed it's only 24 days until Christmas. So, I am thinking, perhaps, that the podcast may be delayed until after Christmas. After all, there's no point in publishing the first episode a week before Christmas and then taking two weeks off. Plus, we will have a lot more to talk about.

I am also putting out a request for any good artists and flash designers. We need a new header, because the current one was made with a website, and a very crap one too. Also, I have seen websites that have a flash interface below the header to show featured posts. If anyone can do this, please contact me at stephen.garvey.saxonproductions@hotmail.com.

So that's the news-y stuff over. Part 2 of the Bionic Ward Blueprint is coming along nicely, and should be up in the next few weeks.

Thanks much,

StephenSSA

UPDATE: For examples of the flash/HTML interface I was talking about, see Nintendo World Report and Official Nintendo Magazine UK.

Blueprint 001 - Bionic Ward - Part 1: Background Info

So, here we are. The Blueprint. Number 1. It took a long time, but it's here. To start off, a quickfire dose of background info.

Name: Bionic Ward. I previously had called it Bionic Wars, but rethought it after analysing my idea of the game. The new title references one of the major plot points in the game, much more so than Bionic Wars. Another title I also consider was S.T.B.E, or Supposed To Be Epic. This represented a time when I wanted the game's story to have a tongue-in-cheek manner.

Origin: I came up with the idea for Bionic Ward while on a trampoline. Granted, this is somehow where I get most of my ideas from. However, I thought it would be a good idea to take a more humourous take on recent games' more serious plots. How can you be really serious about a guy who is just constantly angry?

And so, that is it, but before I go, here is a brief teaser from the story:

What happens when people go too far? Plastic surgery has taken an all new form. And the only way to beat it is to join it.

Stay tuned for Part 2: Story coming soon!
